If you play MOH:AA or CoD talk about the games a little, what you like, what you don't like, what clan's you have been in/are trying to get into...etc. I play both games right now. Moh is kinda dead but while it was in it's prime I was in a clan called [BoRo] and we held a little over 20 number one spots on internation and national ladders/leagues. BoRo is now in CoD and competition is starting to heat up, ladder opened recently and thousands of clans are already registering. It is too early to tell if we are gonna be a top contender in this but man, this game is fun!

I like em both:)
But, CoD is truly the best FPS WWII game ever. You got to like the genre though. If your into FPS WWII games, CoD is tops.
No online stuff with either of these games though. Nothing holds a candle to RTCW-Enemy Territory in online MP FPS WWII.

THREAD REVIVAL :)
MOHAA is NOT DEAD! I play DAILY, about 2 hours minimum. I play for /BAD./ Company - and we are currently number 9 on the OGL world ladder. Our open server is 66.179.164.17
We are getting into COD now, but it will take us a bit of time to get as good at that as we are at MOHAA. I've been playing MOHAA since day 1 release, and have not stopped. For a three year old game, the graphics still kick.
i like em both. moha was cool - always has been, probably will be ;). every time my mates and i set up for a smalltime weekend lan, moha is the choice. and it's always a kill fest...
i finished cod on sp and found it to be quite ok. i just didn't think the graphics were that outstanding as reviews told me. i'm a graphics whore btw, mind my profession - artist ;). but moha wasn't great in that respect there either. rtcw was better imo.
so how cod plays inreal multiplayer, i can't say, as we haven't had a lan since cod was released. the options and levels look promising tho. another part i miss with cod is that you can't enter buildings, well most of the time anyway.
final judgement.. well to me it's a tie with a very small lead (tie, lol) for cod. cod was too short in sp, tho you had a bunch of fun missions, like those where you could steer that tank. graphically there's not much between those 2, keeping in mind that cod is basically some advanced moha - wasn't it done by some runoffs of the moha-team?
and with cod you have nice multiplayer missions - basically replaying the sp game with your mates, but who cares? :D
looking forward to a good round of cod mp soon

sky,
Slightly off topic but, being fond of graphics...can you suggest a couple of games with the absolute best graphics ever? Thanks;) Not trying to jack this thread, just a response from Sky please.

Yeah, I got one. You have to wait a bit, buy HL2 will be just UNBELIEVABLE when it's released.
I think that UR2 has pretty nice looking graphics as well.
well talked about it with a friend just a few mins ago...
and well we didn't come up with all too many titles...
max payne2 is one of the few i really love.
there's plenty of places in it, where i just had to stop and take a very long :) look around.
like the maze-thingy pretty close to the end. while the maze isn't all that spectacular, i just had to stop and get a good look at those silver pipes running along the walls (not spectacular, but it looked like metal).. or all those concrete textures... pretty nice work. same with the flames in the funhouse... i'm still not really sure wether those are just animations or random calculated stuff.. i guess the first and it looks great. btw the coder of the physics bit (markus stein) is a former pal of mine - he used to be stone of the demogroup dust (stone=stein in german)...
ok them next.. some game that somehow went past many people due to its budget status... vietnam - line of sight. i really liked the jungle there. dense vegetation and all that.. really cool. made me ignore vietcong for months (started working on vc a month ago). while vc might be stronger on the gameplay side, vietnam is better on the graphics side - at least in my book.
chrome looks nice, but is too slow... programmed in java it would seem - yuck. but overall graphics are nice. no jaw-drapping like mp2 or enclave, but mostly good anyway :) - come to think about it. i might be the one to be impressed with dense vegetation :)
well next thing that i really liked was enclave.. nice hack 'n slay game... some levels with so so graphics, others were really good. well xbox-port but nonetheless.. oh that ms rally thingy looked pretty good, too - yet another xbox-port. those textures really need to be ripped and put into ego-shooters :D, especially the desert bits...
hm for other titles that really impressed me... hm nothing that really pops up. the latest prince of persia looks ok - have to see a bit more of it tho...
ok 'nuff thread jackin' .. might do an individual thread about this.. like a poll or sth like that.
/edit
well if hl2 will deliver what they've shown around at e3 with all those videos and stuff, it might be good. but then again doom3 is on its way aswell.. both look good so far... but we'll see in a bunch of months (doh)...
also.. i never understood where the thrilling grafix in unreal 2 were hiding. dunno, maybe they put those past the halfway-through the game point. i didn't see them til then, so i didn't expect them to show up later... and finally i quit playing it...
the next ut, 2004 i believe, has some nice spots from what i've seen so far

sky,
Thanks for taking the time for such a nice reply. I will definately check out all the games you mentioned. I get off on good graphics as much as gameplay and didn't put together an ultimate game rig to waste it on crappy graphics. Thanks again!
