Been running the 8rda+ for a little over a year now and have found that I can run stable at about 210mhz FSB with the Crystal Orb on the NB w/ Corsair 3500C2 256 * 2 and a 2500+ Water/Tech Cooled.
Just got a 8rda3+ Rev 2.0 and wondering what kind of stable frontside bus I should be able to get, and how are you cooling your North Bridge.
I'm waiting on the swiftech new H2o Chipset Cooler.
I have been using the 462-UHT with the MCP300, and 676 Swifty Rad and I don't think it has handled the heat the tech produces very good.
I also orderd the Black Ice Extreme 2, Micro Black Extreme, MCP600, and the MCW50 VGA.
I plan on running the system in this config: Rad > 1/2ID Y > 1/2IDCpu / 3/8IDChipset > 3/8IDVGA > Micro BI > 1/2ID Y > Res > MCP600 > Rad
To obtain a higher FSB, maybe 220Mhz x 11.5 is is my Goal, stable.(2530Mhz).
Right now when my case temp reads 24 -25C my Cpu Temp is 13 -14C. Is this normal drop with water/tech.(226W w/ Dedicated 12V PS.)?
If I run Prime for about 7 -8 Minutes my Cpu Temps matches my Case temps. Is this Normal?
I'm hoping by having better Rads and a Pump that this will not happen.
Oh when I first turn on my PC if Case Reads say 20C my Cpu temps will reach 6 - 7C for 5minutes or so and then return to 10 - 12C drop below Case temp again.

I can run up to 240mhz fsb on my 8rda3+ with a passive radiator from a P60 with some air flow, and just like u im planning to use some better cooling on the chipset- should be a significant raise by ~5mhz
Jason, are you saying that with 226TEC on your CPU you are getting 25C load temps?

[Jason, are you saying that with 226TEC on your CPU you are getting 25C load temps?]
Yes, my cpu temp will rise up to and sometimes 1 - 2C over Ambient Case temp under load. "Prime for about 7 -8 Minutes my Cpu Temp matches my Case temps. Is this Normal?"
7-8minutes and CPU Temp = Case Temp?
Right now I'm at 2369Mhz, 206*11.5..........

I planned on ordering the following: (Hoping that this setup will improve cpu idle temps and control the temp under load)
Black Ice Extreme 2 Rad
Micro Black Ice Extreme Rad
MCP600 Pump
MCW20 Chipset
MCW50 VGA.
Pump will have about 18inches of Head. Using 1/2ID lines except on the output of the Chipset will be 3/8ID in & out of the VGA and then 1/2ID agian from MBIX to 1/2ID Y-Splitter.
Main: Pump > BIX2 > Y-Splitter > Cpu > Y-Splitter > Res > Pump
Parallel Line: > Y-Splitter > Chipset > VGA > MBIX > Y-Splitter
Does sound like something that will work?

You'd probable be better off running two separate systems save the money on the micro BIEX and use your swifty rad and mcp 300 pump to cool gpu and northbridge and get the big EX 2 with the big swifty pump to cool the cpu alone. Thats a lot of sh*t to put in the case but if you can work it out that would probable work great.

Thats a good Idea.. Interesting?
I will just get another MCP600 and go ahead and use the Micro BIX, because the Swifty Rad is big and alot harder to mount on the back of my Case.
I only have two 80mm TT2's that is available to pull the air through the Rad, so the swifty won't fit correctly on the back of the case.
The big BIX2 is being mounted on the top of the case..
This is going to depend on how this system will work with just one pump... I might not need another loop and pump...
I have two dedicated power supplies here, one @ 12.2V Vicor/40a and a 13.8V/40a. I use the 12.2V Vicor right now, the cooling system cannot handle it has it is, it won't handle 13.8 accross the pelt.. After the change in cooling system I will try the 13.8V supply.
I really hope to get real close to 0C idle temps @ 220 x 11.5 or even 227 x 11.5 and hopefully hold my temps close to that..
With this setup my water should be able to cool the water real close to room temp again...
I have thought about a water chilller, but I haven't seen one that would fit inside.
hopefully next fall I can afford the Mach 2, I was thinking of just using a 156Watt Pelt on the VGA Card and use the same water cooling setup for the chipset and VGA only. Then mount the Mach 2 on the bottom of my Existing Case. Maybe rework the front of the Mach 2 to match my existing case(TT Xaser3 2000A) I have another Antec case the same color.
Maybe I can cut the bottom portion of the front of the Antec case and replace the front on the Mach 2 to match with the temp LCD in the USB etc. door that exist in Antec bottom portion..
Just a thought, but where's the $$$...
What do you think? Anyone seen anything like that yet?

Well if your looking to save some money and you can solder you could pick up a heatercore radiator. I just got one for myself, the swiftech rad I have keeps my cpu with a 226 watt pelt at 2c and 10c under a load, not cool enough for me. Its 1 ft lond x 5 5/8ths wide x 2 inchs thick and with two passes it should work fine. Had to solder new ends on and put 1/2 inch barb ends on and have to figure out how two put this in and hang it right.
If any body is interested its from a mid 70's gm and the napa part number is 460-3056 and cost $24 beats the hell out of the $100 Balck ice ex 2 but a little more work...

A GM Heater Core..
That sounds like a really good idea, but not sure it would fit on my case?
I was measuring my case and looking down on the top from the back edge I measured 11" to my baybus in the top 5 1/4 slot. It measures 7.5" wide from side to side counting the aluminum wall thicknesses.
You said you have a 2C idle temp? What does your cooling system consist of?
What kind of Cpu do you have and is it overclocked?
What is your ambient temps?
What kind Power supply do you have on your Pelt? What Voltage?
I'm just trying to compare since my cpu temp is usually only 10C below ambient at idle and cpu temp will reach ambient when at full load (prime).
The Gm Heater Core would probably in real world comparsion out perform the BIX2...It's meant to flow high volumes at high speeds comparision to a PC..
If we flowed and cooled even close to as much as a auto cooling system it would never increase the water temp...

Right now I am running a 2500 amd at 2365mhz at 1.82 volts 215x11 . I am just cooling the cpu with water at this time I have a danger den maze 3 block with a 226 watt pelt powered by a Meanwell 12 volt power supplie running at 13.4 volts my pump is an mcp300 with a rad 676(swiftech) radiator running all 1/2 od tubing room temp is 70f and sry load temp is 14c or 59 f and I am using artic silver 5 thermal paste this stuff is expensive but worth every pennie used this on the cpu die and between cold plate and waterblock, first day temps were about 5 degrees c higher but have dropped sinceto my present temps

{1/2 od tubing room temp is 70f and sry load temp is 14c or 59 f}
Does this say 14C at full load or that temp at idle? What is the difference between your ambient temps and your cpu temps at idle?
Like I have about a 10C difference between my ambient and cpu temp at idle...

well my rad cant keep up with the heat load so it will climb dont know how high thats as high as i have seen it and it has been as low as 2c I'm hoping my new heater core will drop my temps oh and running asus a7n8x deluxe with water alone could only get to 205 fsb stable and now stable at 215 with the tec.
