Benching EE+XT+R507 Ver 2.0

Ok, back up and running with new stuff

New XT, unmodded
New DFI Lanparty 875B w/ 875Bigtoe modded bios.
Enermax 651P (killed the ICute 550w 3.3v rail)


Bigtoes EE bios is the only one that I found to work correctly with EE.

Initial FSB problems breaking 250 @ 1:1, the stock het sink on the NB is junk. immediate removal and destruction was needed.

Started off with some no card clock tests to check L3 was up to par. and yep all good there. This may have been the problem when I first tried the Asus P4C800.

I am up about 500points in 2K1 @ 4Ghz even with no card clocks.

I am about to mod the video card and strap on the cooling. I will add pics along the way.

When I switch off the Mach1, seat belts will be required. I will be running on a new cascade. Since ver 1.0 design was a sucess.

(I have ver 1.0 sitting idle till I get mods done, ver 2.0 might be ready before I am done beinching on the Mach1 and or video card is up to snuff)

I see in the other thread that you said you ran stock multiplier so that other people could not whinge, however I say feck em :) ES chips have a history on 3dmark like any other. I see your point though.

This new card has a crappy core, gonna thaw out and reseat the cooler.

567Mhz is not enough, but with my old card it will do 600 and that will take the #1 spot in 2K3 with my Mach1

moved into 3rd position, and about to pass again.

I may be missing something here, but if you are running 4 GHz 250 1:1 fastest timings then your system scores suck ass :confused:

it's funny how a P4EE at 4 ghz with 250 1:1 cas 2, with a 9800 Xt and "only" 567 on the core, is a junk system here ;)

MSI did nothing to Opp, they have given the team motherboards and will swap out blown up boards for us no questions asked.

They were happy, and they advertised for Oppainter. he should hit them up for a new AMD board if he hasnt already.

excellent idea to swap cards. not all overclock equally. Ive gotten more ti4200s only to find out they overclocked nowhere near as good as this 290/600 ti4200 I have right now. also good luck on 30k or getting as close as you can, we all are rooting for you


edit: I now see the reason you arent changing the multi, to keep it fair for those who dont have an engineering sample chip. does ram exist thatll do 1:1 at like 270+ fsb at any timings?

Also, dont think jacking mem up to 3.6-3.8 volts automatically gives you a great overclock. I would suggest not making too many statements that you know nothing about, let alone ever made it to that.

@JC: I have had my old Twinmos BH-5 sticks at over 3.2V (but not much due to unmodded PSUs :(), and I know that it will boost, not as much as from 2.9V to 3.2V, but still a bit... Offcourse, this is hardware dependant, so you are never sure of such statements. (Maybe look up the meaning of a :D smilie... :rolleyes: )
Also, I read in some review all EE were unlocked, but due to PM's with FUGGER, I am beginning to doubt. (He doesn't know either.)
If all goes well, the EE will arrive here this week. As always, great planning, I have exams :rolleyes:
I hope *cough* my Prometeia will be able to hold that EE somewhat cool ;) FUGGER's Prometeia reports are making me anxious :D
Don't blame me for not having an EE, I have payed it a few weeks ago, but due to things that are not mine, nor FUGGER's fault, he's shipping on Monday.

Bro there's way more to getting to the top than just getting new toys and throwing a prommy on them...My quest to the top 10 has taken 3+ weeks so far and i am just now getting the CPU running. I havent even gotten the 9800XT here yet...Gonna be running r507 through the Mach I for the CPU, gotta change out cap tube tho...Anyways...man it's not as easy as you think, trust me. ;)

Id say so, cos isnt he running it with the default 16x just to be equal playing grounds? ie default 3.2 EE and not the unlocked sample that it is?

I think he can do 4.4GHz and its stable enough for 3dmark but his ram cant handle it so he runs about 4GHz
