i built this machine for my lakehouse a month ago.... its a p4p800, 3.0c xms 3200, 9600pro its not half bad :)... it was working fine a month ago when i buitl it i installed windows and such..... but its been sitting in my lakehouse for a motnh now.. i go to turn it on... nothing goes down on the screen so i check the connections on the monitor they are good... and i look over at the connection on the computer and i realize i notice that the window is no longer clear :brick: :brick: i also notice that it smells REALLY BAD.... then i notice crap thats smoke filling my case... i rip out the plug and open the case.... i almost died from all the melted plastic. and i notice some capacitor or something is smoking and the pcb around it has melted :brick: it was right bby the vdimm spot so i think it was some kind of voltage regulator or something... so i go NOOO MY BEAUTIFUL BOARD, then i rip out my ram and one of the sticks.... (the one on the side where the smoked capacitor or something or another was) has 3-4 black pins and some black spots on the bottom... NOOOOO.. MY BEAUTIFUL RAM... :brick: :brick: then i look on newegg (different computer) and i go SCORE i can still rma all this stuff.... it was uhhh.... DOA :stick:

Parts break even when they are not oced!! This member said nothing about overclocking, he just posted to tell other members about something that happened to his equipment and automatically he is ripping off a company. I guess I must have missed something!

.....your right he didn't say anything about o/cing and I jumped to conclusions. I will delete my post..........
Slickthellama - did you see how he explained what the member wrote and why I was wrong . Take notes, you'll need them when you grow up.........
Anyway PyroTeknik, When you're not there it would be very wise to unplug the monitor and box as they can be very sensitive to power surges and electrical storms. Theres nothing worse than finishing off damaged hardware. May your transactions be swift!

I did explain it clearly, you were WRONG because you claimed that "NewEgg picks up the tab" when in fact they pay the shipping charges in bulk and that's it. YOU WERE WRONG.
