I have the above motherboard and was wondering if I can use the 3rd IDE connector meant for IDE raid in a standard non-raid configuration. I don't use raid or SATA and would like to get more IDEs without an addon card. If this is possible, how is it done as I've tried just connecting a HDD to it without configuring raid and it's not recognized.
