View Full Version : Heard of a MOSFET heatsink for the Rampage II Gene?

I'm attempting to cool down the Northbridge (NB) area on my Rampage II Gene. I have the option of placing the Noctua U6 chipset heatsink on top of the stock Asus heatsink, or, placing it directly on the NB itself - if I do this I'll need a heatsink for the MOSFETs to the left of the CPU as the Asus stock heatsink covers both the NB and the MOSFETs.

Has anyone saw a MOSFET heatsink for this board? The hole to hole spacing is 93.5mm. I know the Thermalright HR-09 S Type 1/2 will fit if the retention clips are cut short, my concern is the shortened clips lack pressure to keep the heatsink pressed down. I'm looking for a product I can use "out the box", problem is I don't think there is anything for this board, yet.

I saw Enzotech makes an MST-88 which comes close but it's not quite long enough. If you've saw something online, or an alternative, I'd be grateful hearing of it. If I can't find anything that's suitable, I'll need to install the U6 on top of the Asus stock heatsink (I'd rather the U6 sit directly over the NB chip) and use a fan blowing air over the entire area.

Thanks.
