I have this board on the shelf, and should build another system with it, but need some opinions. It's the 2nd one I've had, the first lasted 3 days then burnt a circut and died. This is the RMA replacement. Been doing a lot of looking around, and it seems this board has more than it's share of problems with return rate. I think I can still RMA the board and maybe talk my way into a P4C800, and need to know if this would be to my benefit? Actually, I need to know what you all think from an apples to apples compare...

Well we all know the Asus is typically recommended as the better OC board. I purchased my IC7-G when they first came out, I've had no trouble, It is stable @ 309 FSB with my 2.4, my everyday setting is 290 FSB. I would bet my board would go much higher, unfortunately my processor won't. I will say that a few versions of the Bios was a bit messed up, Abit's done a fair job though and the Bios is maturing nicely. I have no complaints on mine, and from what I've read about the Asus' problems I wouldn't trade mine for one.

I would probably give it a shot and see how it runs. Then again if I'd had the problems that others have with the IC7 maybe I would trade...

I'm sure I will be the minority voice for the Abit, but mine has been exceptional.
