Hey guys,

I set the bios to 1.425v and under load, the CPU only gets 1.376v...this is a Vdroop of 0.05v! and I have LLC Enabled!

So in theory, I can set my CPU to 1.37x and if there would be no vdroop, I would get a stable system.

So in order to compensate, one has to raise the voltage. Is there a way to minimize the Vdroop?

How much does the vcore drop in CPU-z from idle to load? I have 2 of these boards and both only let vcore drop 0.016 from idle to load with LLC enabled.

"Vdrop" is the the vcore difference between what you set in BIOS and what you see in CPU-z at idle. This is normal and there's nothing you can do about it. Some boards are just more accurate than others.

If you want my advice, disable LLC. You'll get some pretty big vdroop but it will actually help your OC. I couldn't get any chip above 4GHz with LLC enabled. http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=3184&p=6

Weird. I have the latest board revision 1.6. Maybe this newer revision drops more?

0.032v

Btw, I am running the chip at 4.24Ghz LinX 200 runs stable at this voltage.

I have board rev 1.6 and my voltage set in bios is 1.300v and under full load it is 1.264V and Idle at 1.280v

Here is a pic at full load.

that board doesnt have vdroop sorted out so it isnt working properly even though you can enable it in bios
same with others

some of the newer revisions will have this fixed otherwise you need to mod the board to fix the droop but if you are just on a 24/7 machine i wouldnt worry about it mate
