I have an old humidifier with a big ass fan on the top that pumps the air mist out the side, i was thinking of filling it up, and running the two tubes inside it, and taping up the extra space so no mist gets out and condenses on my pc. Think it would help the temps on a pelt wc'ing system? any bit helps.. even -1, -2 c. im probably going to dry ice it aswell with the setup below.

Put a bong on the outlet, sealed and setup so the water can fall back into the humidifier. That ought to cool it.

i cant really think of a practical use for it, except looking like a waterfall. I have a beer bong lying around, but i dont think i could cut it... uchh i just swallowed like a gallon of water trying to prime my eheim =P

This is what I mean by putting a bong on it - a bong cooler ;)

hmnn where do you take the hit from ;D   j/k.. I kind of see how it works, but is it worth the trouble of cutting the glass/plastic or whatever? seems like it would cool the res better, but not enough to make a difference once it gets to the blocks ands stuff..
I always thought that 'bong' coolers work somehow different.
They are called evaporative coolers.
What happens inside is as follows:
1. water is being pumped at certain height and then dropped down through 'sower head' type devices making lots of tiny droplets.
The only problem is that since it is open system lots of water evaporates in the cooling process and needs to be topped up frequently (that's why powerplants are prefereably located near water reservoirs ).
This system is very effective! but troublesome, needs maintenance and it is difficult to move...
2. Above 'shower heads' there are banks of powerfull fans sucking air in.
3. At the bottom of 'chimney' there are air inlets and a 'tray' catching falling cool water.
The arrangement on he above drawing is also used but is deemed to be less effective (it's used due to structural reasons in power plants)

Trust me large banks of fans are the last thing you want, I used to have a bong setup, watering can rose at the top about 5' long 6" diameter that evaporated ~5 litres a day when on my tec setup, using an unbranded 80mm fan @ 6v.
And more volts and it would simply blow the water out of the bong and out the window.
Your bong must outlet to the outside world else your room will get incredibly wet...
And dont put any additives in the water unless you want to die.
