I am looking to install a 226W pelt on my P4, where can I find some up to date condensation prevention articles for the P4 Northwood? Thanks all

errm, have a look through the forum. Are you gonna use a swiffy block? pretty much everyone says swiffy are just teh easiest way to at least start off pelt cooling, easy setup. Have a look at, errm, think its www.swiftnets.com info on blocks, help finding where to buy and also should have guides somewhere for how to install the blocks, which should give plenty of info on condensation prevention.

http://www.swiftnets.com/products/installationguide_MCW5002-PT.pdf

try reading that, i can't dl it right now, can't seem to get anything more thana web page and took ages of time out surfing to find the link ;) Anyway, that shoudl go through steps to install the P4 version of that block, which is about the only (probo THE only) prebuilt tec setup you can buy, its also pretty damned good value, and looks good, and(i've yet to actually install one) supposed to be by far the easiest to do.

Best insulation guide I've seen thus far.

uhh... why would you put dielectric grease into the socket holes.. wouldnt that reduce conductivity and thus create instability?

No, you still get contact between the pins and the socket, because physical contact is required. What it does it prevent air from gettign in there, and condensing, and coroding your pins.

I have done it, it is perfectly safe.

Just looking at that guide would make any normal person not want to go this super cooling route.;)
