hello people first off i would like to say hi to your glorious forum. ;)

So i was trying to get the pins out of the atx 24 pin and the 6pin and i bought a tool which didnt work, i tried staples nothing would budge em so my plan was to hack apart the plastic thing keeping the pins intact well this didnt work at all they still wouldnt move so ive snapped the pin. So my plan now is to chop the cables buy new pins and crimp the pins to the cables.

My question is what tool can i use to do this effectively and easily?

(as i dont want a fire or anything...)

ive found this but it says its for molex so im not sure if it will work on the atx 24 pins.

I don't suppose it's by chance NOT the actual PSU ATX, and an extension cable eh?

Personally I'd find it easier to buy an extension cable with the ATX plastic block on it, cut the end, and solder it to the original PSU wires. That way its just a wire, to wire solder job.

But that's because I hate messing with the pins.

Yes. That is exactly what you want. Also pick up a PSU pin change out kit to have on hand.

While I love FrozenCPU, I'd recommend Performance_PCS for all things Molex. They also carry tools like that crimper:

P.S. Make sure you check out their AC Ryan selection.

Absolutely. This will allow you to crimp any connector on the PSU.
