Forcing earlier driver on FX5900

I read somewhere here today a post by Kunaak talking about how you can force a driver earlier than 44.03 to work on these cards, but after searching for over an hour I can NOT find it again.

Anyone have any info on this? I am sure there are a couple drivers prior to 44.03 that are a tad faster that I want to try out.
