I got really board and decided to make my own background. I hate backgrounds that have alot of crap in them so I make simple ones. I also love Rubik's cubes :) Two sizes 1680x1080 and 1920x1080.
Download and enjoy :)

It's both the brightness and the out-of-focus cube - looking at that for longer than a couple of seconds is almost painful, certainly not pleasant.

Won't hurt much to the eye if the background color is not white. Or if the blur is tuned down a bit. But I like the simplicity though.

Could you make a black and white one with darker background [preferably black] and less blur?

New version. No blur at all, but a little some thing new on a black background. Any more requests ? :)
Only in 1680x1050(for now)http://files.getdropbox.com/u/464374/WallPapers/Rubik%27sB1680x1050.png
If you would like it in a different res please ask.

Thanks ;). Much better, and now in my fav. color black.
*Hint
There is irony in the picture, one being a simple image, and having a Rubik's cube on it.:yepp:

Hahaha the first one gave me a headache. Black background is cool. Wanna see a black background with the blurry cube.

First rule: Never use out of focus effects for desktop. It's bad for eyes. Instead, if it's a 3D renderer, apply lots of gloss on the cube instead, maybe even HDR.
Or make it look like it's made out of glass. Also there are other ways of post processing image and giving it a bloom effect or overbright that does similar, but much more pleasing to the eyes.

The black one is really cool. Forget a background, that would make a really great print. A rubik's cube against a plain white background, like in the first one, just, you know, in focus. I'd buy it!
