Just noticed last night, that when CPU-Z displays the info for my memory, Muskin PC3500. It shows Dimm1 as PC3500 but shows Dimm2 as PC3200.

I'm going to swap them around and test them both seperately, but should I take much notice of it ?

I know corsair can sometimes be displayed as PC2700.

Shows my 2 sticks of Corsair 3500 as 3200 as well, probably something to do with the fact that anything over 3200 is non jedec standard....

I also have Mushkin PC3500 and both of mine show up as PC3200. I think it has something to do with the fact that the PC3500 modules are actually PC3200 modules, but are then individually tested and if found to be able to run at DDR433 speeds and above they just get remarked as PC3500. I wouldn't worry about it as long as they work at the rated speeds.

Thanks guys.

I wouldnt have took much notice if theyed both shown up as PC3200, It was them showing differant, that made me wonder.

I swapped them round, still shows one 3200 the other 3500, but the other way round.

Think i'll try them one at a time, see if they both clock the same.

Your results won't change any, its only reading whats programmed into the SPD.

My HyperX3500 just showed up as 3500 DDR under an older version of CPUz, then I got the latest one and it shows everything perfectly.

Here is the LATEST (http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-120a.zip) in case you are using one older than 1.20

I'm on 120a

I understand chips being read differant, a couple of days ago I explained to someone who was concerned that his Corsair was reading wrong, but I dont understand one stick showing 3200 the other showing 3500.

I guess the important thing is they work OK. :)

Are those Twinx?
If not, maybe one is older than the other.

If you contact Mushkin they will happily exchange your memory for ones with the correct SPD reading if you so require.....they did this for me in the days of their PC133 Hi-Perf.
