does anyone have pics that show an image of a webpage captured from 1440x900, 1920x1080, and 2600x1600(i'm not too sure about the number of pixels for those last 2, but you should know what i'm talking about) resolutions

i'm thinking about getting a new monitor for my desktop and was wondering just how much more space i would be looking at.

1920*1080 is a standard resolution (commonly known as 1080i or 1080p), but it's a 16:9 ratio and therefore more common in TVs. Computer monitors are more usually 16:10, which is 1920*1200. As for the 30" res, it's 2560*1600.

Was there any site in particular you wanted screen grabs of? That aside, I'd just set your resolution higher and scroll the image around the monitor to get an idea of how much more space you'd get.

Well it's not of a web page but it is to scale and will show you exactly how much extra space you get:

thanks xello, but that wasn't exactly what i was looking for. i've found those already, but they don't really give me an accurate representation of the real world. its like somebody estimating the size of the room and actually having the room measured. they may be similiar, but its just not quite the same.

but ya, i'm not looking for any webpage in particular. i just want to see how much more i'll be able to see with bigger resolutions. a picture is worth a thousand words.
