New LCD monitor, now usb mouse problems

I just received my Dell 22" LCD that was on sale, and, since I installed it my mouse has been, intermittently, cutting in and out, mostly during gameing.

I had an 19" CRT before, I doubt it's the monitor, but what else could have changed????

I havent tried to uninstall the driver from Dell yet, I will try that, but Google hasnt yeilded anything yet either....


Anyone have any ideas?????

do u have the mouse plugged into the monitor and is the monitor usb 1 or 2

The mouse is still plugged into the USB on the motherboard...

sounds to me like your mouse is just dying. That it happened just as your replaced your LCD is just a coincidence. The mouse cutting in and out is what always happens when a mouse dies after a few years of use.

Yes, it was a horrible coincidence......

I hate when that happines......

Almost as much as I hate this old wireless mouse I am using till I get the MX518 replaced.......:(
