Windows and the drivers should detect the device IDs as the same. They're the same GPUs, just on different PCB layouts. Should work fine, can't forsee any issues since they're the same exact GPUs.

You'll be fine. There was a thread posted here about a week ago showing a "review" of the new single-PCB card that featured benchmarking a quad-SLi setup with an old (dual) and new (single) card.

The only issue is the voltage tuner doesn't work on the co op because it uses a cheaper voltage regulation, no more Volterra. If you haven't bought yet, better off finding a dual pcb!
