So i've got everything ready/shipping for my build except for the SSD, but now i'm torn on which one i should buy. I'm looking for a 64gb one, and it was mentioned to me that i should get the corsair one, but that goes for $170 before shipping, and right now on newegg i can get a kingston 64gb for $119 with free shipping....
Am i really going to notice the difference? Or should i just save myself ~$60?
Thanks for anything!
The only SSDs worth getting for a performance desktop are those with Indilinx (Bearfoot) or Intel controllers. Pass on JMicron or any other controllers as they'll have low performance (particularly when the drive gets full) and stuttering issues while writing.

Anything else isn't worth it - stick with Raptors unless you're going Bearfoot or Intel.

:/ that increases my cost even higher than the corsair ones though..... is the jmicron really that bad?
And how do you know what controller it has? i went on the kingston site and i can't find anything.

the corsair has no stuttering and its a great drive, very fast! As I understand it the Kingston drive has a very updated and fixed jmicron controller that does not stutter at all, it is definitely a viable option
