i think amd locked the 2500+ so ppl will start
buying the 2600 +.
so if someone can tell if the 2600+ are locked 2.

From what i've read over at extremeoverclocking the week 40+ 2600's are also being locked.

does that mean that if I will buy a new computer with a amd 2500+ I won't be able to overclock????

All new Bartons are!

Look for pre-week 39 CPUs. To increase your chances of a pre-week 39, don't buy from Newegg. Buy from a lesser known reseller like Xcalibur or Monarch, etc.

As of now, i don't think anyone has unlocked one. I could be wrong though. (and i do hope that i am)
