For that price range and good vdimm options, check out the Epox boards.

He said he wanted high vdimm.....both of those boards guys have only 2.85 and 2.9. The Epox has 3.3v.

how well does the EPoX boards O/C?
which board offers the best stability etc...
and which specific epox board do you recommend?
Thanks :)

Without money being an issue which one will be the winner?? Best performance, overclock and stable. I thought Abit was the best one but people experiences with IC7 Max 3 don“t seem to be that good. The asus seems to be the best one in overall.

If you want a trouble free overclocking beast go with the P4C800E. It will cost you a good $50 more than the Epox. The Epox looks like a really good board and I have heard some good things about it not to mention the price, but for some reason I don't see everyone running one.

Well, I guess that's your personal opinion, mine is exactly the opposite.

Nothing but troubles with a P4C800-E. Even the CMOS clear jumper doesn't work like it should.

i hear the p4c800 has horrible vcore flux and makes it very hard to get a stable OC.

Okay let me re-state that. If you want the least troublesome and most consistent Canterwood board, get the P4C800E.

Asus P4C800 Deluxe =#1 $189
Asus P4P800 Deluxe =#2 $129
Both overclock good with out vdimm mod
Both go even higher with tighter timings WITH vdimm mod
{vdimm mod takes 15 max to install }
Guess you caint tell I like the Asus boards this time around :)

Since I prefer mem voltages in the 3.5V+ range for benching the board of choice is certainly the ASUS P4C800-E

i have a p4c 800-e dlx, ic7-max 3 and a epox 4pca3+
they all suck, but the asus sucks the least. the asus lets me FSB to 280ish wehre the rest wont, and its the most stable. if u get the p4c800-e dlx, u will be happy

There are many good 875 boards out there but i think that P4C800 is the least problematic, with good performance and oc'ing abilities.
