what i hear you only use like 20-35% of the container, as when it hits the alchol i think it expans a bit..
im a nub with this stuff, i believe i read that somewhere here tho :)

Use ethanol. Becuse the fumes are not as bad as the toxic methanol or Aceton.
I'm sure Charlie or someone can help you with how much Dry Ice you need for a longer run.

30% of the container is far to much.
too much liquid and your surface area is less, so it's less effective.
less is better then too much.
also, 30% would increase the chance of it boiling over if your not careful.
I use a 10% mix, any more useless and just eats the dry ice faster, and cools less.
maybe it's just my mix, cause I can't get ethenol easy, but acetone is everywhere, and costs 3 dollars for enough to use for a week of dry ice testing.

5kg will last about 2 hours for CPU + GPU. Use only about 1 inch of ethanol. Ethanol makes better temps than 99% Iso. 70% Iso makes garbage temps. Always make sure there's DI in the tube above where it is boiling. Maybe 1/2 full tube....
One run probably consumes 300-400g

Another tip,
While you're benching store the DI in a cooler. If it comes to you in a block, use a hammer to make it into small pieces. It will also make a lot of "snow" or small pieces. Use those also by scooping them up with a spoon and pouring them in the tube. This "snow" or powder DI (dry ice) really lowers the temps. Try to avoid big chunks. Keeping your DI in a cooler will keep it around much longer. My estimate is that if you use 5kg in 2 hours, 80% will have gone onto the CPU and 20% will have melted into the air.

Im using 10kg per benching session. lets you do two or three or even four good runs
