Ok, i sold my vmodded NF7 non-s 2.0 and barton and i'm thinking of trying out an intel rig. This is my first intel build so i'm a n00b  but i do need some direction as i have no idea about intel.

I want a board that has ocing features more or less like the NF7. Onboard sound is a plus but has to be better than that AC97 crap. About the cpu, i want to be able to get a minimum of 3ghz and uber FSB. Onboard raid would be cool, but not necessary since i have a pci raid card. This is what I have from my AMD rig:

2- 100GB WD HDD's
1- 80GB WD HDD
HighPoint RocketRaid ATA 133 pci card
TTGI 520w psu
2-256MB PC3200 twinmos BH-5 ( 230+FSB)
LiteOn 16x DVDrom
LitOn 52x Burner
CrystalFontz
NXP-201 Fan Controller
Visiontek GF4 Ti4600 modded

Also i'm not rich and i haven't hit lotto yet so it has to be reasonable in price. It would be ideal if someone had a mobo and cpu for sale.

Any help is greatly appreciated :D

i need a new proc...most likely the 2.4c...and was wondering if it would pay to wait for prescott to come out, or just to get it now?

ABIT IC7 if you have a NIC, else the IC7-G and the 2.4c is a great OC'er but the sweet spot price-wise is the 2.8c that some are having decent luck OC'ing.

you want uber fsb, so the chip you want is the 2.4c . you will easily hit 250fsb (3ghz) and if you have good cooling you will probably end up in the 300fsb range. for a good overclocking board that is cheap, id recommend the abit is7 mobo, but it is springdale, and if you really want a canterwood board, i would say go for the asus P4C800E. should be a good combination. just remember that if youre goin for insane fsb then youre gonna need some damn good memory to back you up, and some big vdimm. looks like your bh-5 should hold up nice tho

Well, I'm currently attempting to sell off large chunks of my current rig, and then I'll be slipping over, get my storm trooper suit ready. :p:
