Sys!
IC7-G, 2.8c, 2-256mg Mushkin 3000.
System will run prime at 3112MHz, with the settings you see above any higher even with Vcore up to 1.7 does not stop Lockups.

I sent yah a PM with some uselful info. If none of that helps I will try to look harder for the answers you seek :)

What are your loaded temps under Prime95? What kind of cooling?

Do you have Memtest86? If you do, for a few loops and make sure no errors pop. That way we can eliminate the memory as an issue.

BTW:

Set your AGP Ratio to Fixed at 66/33
Bump that VDimm up to 2.7v for now

Cooled with a xtwekz Typhoon. Temps under load 48c. The Vdimm is modded and if I am reading the correct dial in mbm it is at 2.85 now. I don,t have Memtest86 will try to find it. Thanks Can,t run memtest do not have floppy!

Hmmm...CPU temps are fine. I was looking at the softmenu screen where you set the vdimm at 2.5v...not your health screen...oops:) Actually, your Vdimm might be kinda high based on the health screen. 2.92v is pretty hefty for running the memory at 178mhz (223 @ 5/4). But, it's not crazy high or anything.

Looking at the other voltages on the helath screen pic, your 12v rail looks a tad low. Your core looks likes it's dropped a bit in that pic too. Not way low...just a little.

Run that memtest86 and make sure to fix your AGP/PCI at 66/33 (it really helps stability alot).

Use Memtest instead of Memtest86, it runs in windows ;)

Oops..no floppy. Hmmm.

I wanted to eliminate memory issues because your running loose timngs with plenty of voltage. Some memory doesn't like over 2.9v at all.

Have a spare floppy drive?

I always used Winbond Doc to monitor voltages, you can install it off the CD with the mb.

Got it. DDR Voltage is between 2.98-3.02

I see you found a floppy - did you notice you can download an iso image for image burn to a CD? http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.0.iso.zip

From the memtest86 errors, it seems likely that your memory is a culprit.

Memtest (for windows) is good as well, but memtest86 is useful when windows is unstable. Since it's running independently of windows, no risk of corruption or other windows issues. Use all tools at hand ;)

Any suggestions on what timings to try before i have to buy new ram. Btw running prime now at 3126MHz, 1.60Vcore, 3.02 Vdimm, 3.2 Divider. Seems to be stable.

The newest prime95 supports three different types of tests:

Small FFTs
In-place Large FFTs
Blend

Blend is supposed to test large amounts of RAM where the other two do not. How fast can you run the CPU under Blend in Prime95?

As to memory settings, the classic workup starts with the most relaxed timings at stock volts and then you make them increasingly aggressive until the system becomes instable. Bump Vdimm, repeat at the most aggressive stable settings and increase the aggressive timings 'til instability. etc.etc.

Running with the 3:2 memory divisor is really underclocking that RAM (223/3X2=148mhz).

This may sound odd, but try running the memory tighter....at CAS 2. Give it a shot at SPD settings too.

That Mushkin 3000 shouldn't need more than 2.6v to run 185mhz CAS 2 5,2,2. Hmmm...wierd problem.

If it really is being underclocked with the 3:2 divider you are giving it too much voltage. Often times memory will throw errors if its getting more voltage than it needs.

I downloaded prime95 today I do not see a 3 test option! As for the agressive memory timings, I,m a rookie at this know next to nothing about ram timings.

Options > Torture Test

The blend test will use ALL of your RAM. Watch your Task Manager and see. If your RAM is throwing errors, Prime will catch it and fail..

Will change ram timing to 2 and drop Vdimm.

Update!
Running Prime95 torture test at 3208MHz, 1.6Vcore, 2.85Vdimm, at SPD. 5.4 Divider!
Thank you all, just these few posts has helped alot. Much appreciated.:toast:
