From what I hear from this board, the Mushkin 3500 black Lvl 2 is the shiznit, and saw a pair (2x256) #991097 at Newegg for 174.10, but the picture looks different. Can anyone confirm or deny the twinpack sold at newegg is of Bh-5 flavor? Because in the linked picture, the ram is silver in static proof bags.

They are the same, the black doesnt mean the color of the Heatspreader, When you get it you will see the PCB on the Ram is Black.

I've gotten purple heatspreaders on them

exactly...my heatspreaders are green, but the pcb, that actual ram, is black

Yeah thats the stuff. I have LVL1 Black BH-5. I got mine before the time they started seperatign the Chips to LVL1 and LVL2

Thnx for the info, oh wise gurus. Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm fairly new to the green pastures of DDR, where I was stuck using pc133 on a 900T-bird for the longest time. Reading reviews of the 2.4c's, I never recalled anything mentioned about CH-5 and BH-5 ram. D'oh!
