congras and does anyone know him? 21k wow you are beating many people who have 9800s
Wow nice, I done some benching with my Ti4200 he has the advantage of A64 though over everyother Ti4200 score. Im no where near that atm.

I just upped my Ti4200 score to 19170 this morning, moving into 7th place. I was all excited and then I saw Mikem's new score.
WOW!!!! That is impressive. He beat the 2nd highest Lobby LO score by 32 fps and the 2nd highest Lobby HI score by 15 fps, not to mention that he beat Gabbax by almost 1100 points.

Haha, what is the competiton? A64 vs P4 2.6....
Congrats for good scores, but these where waited;)

270@ 1:1 5.2.2.2 is deeply impressive ..what is the memory Mike ?
:toast:
Gabbax, your 2.6 was running at 4Ghz+ with dual channel, Mikes was single channel at 2.7Ghz ;) You need an EE mate !!!
On the other hand Mike scored a Nature score of 113 where as my FX 5600 scored 117 ! and it only got 16k points total.
God bless nVidia's 44.03 drivers for the Fx range :D
heh heh.

he also has higher video clocks too. Very few people have hit 400MHz on the core. Maybe if one uses liquid nitrogen on the core and ram, they could hit like 410 to 440 core and 800 to 830 ram then about 3GHz on the cpu and probably break 23k marks :)
wow zakelwe I didnt see your post as you posted a few seconds before I did :D anyway yes a p4ee would buy him quite a few marks if he can overclock that to the same MHz of his 2.6c but fsb, ram speed and timings matter very much too. then theres the issues of him having higher video clocks too  His ram is also amazing, man I wonder if he could pull off 30k on a 9800XT? He just might be able to since he has the fastest ram overclock. He would need the fastest XT overclocks too
My Ti4200 does max of 287MHz on core, this is with stock cooler so I imagione it will go muc hfurther. Just been burning in with memory at 620 last night, sure RAM will go much higher. Havent tested higher on memory yet.
Craig
My old TI4200 one of the very first, which was a Abit Siluro TI4200 did 320/625 stock and 340/650 with Watercooled GPU and Ram Sinks cooling non artifacting. 345 was the limit stock GPU and I could run 700 ram but major artifacts.
I'm sure with Vmods it could have done 380/750 and that was one of the first, I must have been really lucky. Or the speed binning changed later on.

thats a really nice overclock there :) how far do you think an a2 stepping core that does 290 go with v mod?

Hey Gabbax. I know what you mean about the A64 vs P4 competition... that's one of the reasons I pointed out the Lobby scores. Mikem is gaining about 620 points just off the two Lobby tests.
(edit) Gabbax or anyone else, how high were you able to overvolt your Ti4200 before you damaged it? What sort of cooling were you using? I am currently using 1.87 Vgpu and 3.0 Vmem with about 5-10C air cooling (window fan). I'm just not sure how high I can push them. Thanks.

max my asus went was 340/670 with artifacts, did 325/650 perfect

Thankx for the comments guys....
I think that will be my last ti4200 bench, as I have pulled off all the vmods.
As far as voltage goes.....I was shoving 2.35 at the core and 4+ volts at the memory :)
I almost completed a run at 272x10... crashed 3/4 through nature and I gave up from there ;(

thats some serious mem voltage :O
good job btw :)

I have a question. in another forum there was arguement that your ti4800se does not outperform a stock radeon9700 pro, but your nature score is 113. exactly what nature does a stock 9700 pro get? 100? one overclocked to like 360/340 was getting 113fps in nature

Nice run, im currently sitting in 3rd, but when the P4C800-E-Dlx arrives ill be running 5:4 divider and then i should break 20K easily. But for some reason my drag high scores have dropped about 20 fps, when i formatted and installed dx8.1 instead of 9.0. But it also looks like i have killed the mem on the card. It was doing 775 for all tests but nature, and now it is having trouble doing 760 :( , maybe some more voltage cranking is in order

I used to have a 9700pro(God bless its blown up soul ;(...), and I think this card is atleast 2000 points higher than a stock 9700pro.

Sounds like your having the soame trouble as my 4800SE. I cooked the mem too, now it struggles above 756MHz even @ 3.2V. The extra voltage helped it for a week or so, then it made no difference.
Shame to kill a card that does 360/789 on air :(

yea sorry to hear. also ive noticed all the high scores are ti4800se, why not a real ti4200?

They tend to have later more mature cores and maybe faster memory than the earlier 4200ti's and 4400ti's.
Same chip though, I don't believe there is any difference between the core on a 4200tix8, 4800SE and 4600tix8.

Gen Rommel and CodeRed, if I may ask, what voltage are you guys running your video cards at (Vgpu and Vmem)? And what sort of cooling? I'm not sure how far I can push my video card before it dies.
I realize that I cannot compete with some of the "top dogs" with my simple air cooling setup, but I definitely want to see how far I can push my system. Hopefully I can get some more out of my CPU and video card when the outside temps drop some more.

Hmm, maybe i'll fix my Triplex Ti4600 (330/770 air unmodded), mod it, mount an upcoming DIY R12 GPU cooling system and bench on P4EE... Well, in a couple of weeks i'll try to do it:)

Aye and congrats Mikem! Definitely a great job of pushing GF4Ti SO far!!!

core 1.8V, mem 3.0V
barton copper HSF on the core and thermaltake heatsinks on the mem
nothing too radical ;)

I am yet to measure the volts, but i use a 32K resistor for the mem and a 2.8K on the core - this is more than codered uses, but i am also running a MAZE4-1 GPU block.
BTW, i got my P4C800-E-Dlx yesterday but i haven't got it all sewtup yet, i will volt mod it this arvo and then ill do some benching with the NB block on. But im still angry with the mem on the card not doing what it did before :( . Do you think some ram sinks will help?
Edward2
11-18-2003, 05:44 PM
The ram sinks certainly won't hurt, but I don't know if that is the problem or not. If you have access, you could try blowing cold air (window fan or ac) on the memory and see if that helps any. Might help determine if it is really a heat problem or not.

Yeah i was only using an 80mm fan on the top of card to cool the mem, if i had an aircon i would use it.

Man... I wish I could have gotten a card that would do 770+ stock on the memory!!!
I had 2 original abit ti4200 64 meggers that would do 340/640ish stock, an Albatron ti4200p turbo 320/680 stock, two albatron ti4800se's 330/705ish stock and this Asus 320/730 stock. Everything I got from this card was brutally forced from it ;)

Nice work none the less :) I dont think even with a 5:4 divider that i am going to be able to claim #1 spot... maybe its time to buy another Ti4800SE and go for gold :p

What vgpu and vdimm are you guys putting on those VGA while benching?
Edward2
11-26-2003, 05:28 PM
I am currently using 1.87 Vgpu and 3.0 Vmem with about 5-10C air cooling (window fan).
Gabbax - about 1.85 Vgpu with air cooling, 1.96 Vgpu with pelt cooling
CodeRed - core 1.8V, mem 3.0V
