prices are aus $$ so they aint that bad. the price of a 128 meg 9600pro is about $250 so they are good for that price.

i am after with one will overclock better and if it will be able to flash. ie 9600xt 2.5ns - 9800xt ????

but i think it would have to be a 256meg 2.5 card to do that.
and is there any chance of enable'n they extre 4 pipelines ??

i would like to know if any of u have had a chance to get one of these and how dose it clock ??

You will not be able to flash any 9600 to a higher card, as they use an entirely different core (.13nm silicon vs .15 on all other Radeons).

However if you are going to pay that much for the 2.5ns memory you may as well get a 9700 Pro and have a faster card.

And there are no extra pipelines on the 9600. It has 4.

How much is that in USD?

Here the 9600XT and 5700U start at $199 and the 9700 Pro is around $250 but they don't make them anymore.

9800 Pro is around $350 (BBATI) and the XT is $499 for reference.

i think the exchange rate is like

$1 aus buys .58cent US

9800Pro SAPPHIRE 128meg $599
9800XT SAPPHIRE 256meg $899

There is no way thats correct, since those XT prices you posted look like US prices.

they are from www.pluscorp.com.au , they are a sponsor of OCAU , they do deals for us.

i thought they would start at $400 , but they are only $240-270

If i were getting an XT I'd definitly get the one with 2.5ns ram. The ram clocks make the biggest difference on 9600's.

If they're shipping those at 730MHz those things are gonna rock outta the box. I can't imagine how high they'll clock with 3v on that 2.5 ram.
