Hey,
I was running my PC3200 CH-5 at 231x9.5 @ 2-3-2-X
this was at 2.74 volts. I was wondering if i added
more volts to run RAS to CAS at 2 will that minimize
the chance that windows will corrupt? because i know
this ram could do 2-2-2-X even though it CH-5.

How do you "know it can do 2-2-2"? You don't really, until you try.

CH5 is not supposed to be capable of RAS to CAS 2 at any speed. But, give it a shot.

because i have done it dude, but it corrputed windows
after running for a week around ~230 fsb,
i was wondering if upping it to 2.85 was safe to run
for like a year w/o any damage and if it will minimize
the chance of that damn corrupt windows file.

Yeah, dump more voltage on it should help. I have some $hitty OCZ ram that will not run RAS to CAS 2 at any speed until i hit it with 3v... Then it's flawless upto 440MHz with tightest timings. Give it a whirl.

Do you guys think it is safe to run around 3.2V on ch-5 for long periods of time?

i just tested some hyperx from a friend of mine. they got ch5 on it! :(
they just need that much voltage @ 2-2-2-11 with 235 fsb, that i had to raise the voltage up to 3,25v.
now changed back to my corsair! :D

like poki said. pump up the voltage! ;) i'm sure 3,2v won't harm them. put a 80mm fan above them and everything shoud be fine!

Well my NF7-S allowes only up to 2.95 but I just dont want
to keep reinstalling windows if i set the R to C to 2.

You don't gain all that much between 2 & 3 on RtoC

i actually noticed you dont gain much from 3 to 2
on anything, and you dont gain much from 2.5 to 2 cas

On AMD maybe, but on 865/875 RAS to CAS is huge.

The HyperX 3500 CH5 can withstand up to 3.6-3.8volts. I run mine at 3.15 24/7 and all is well. Up the voltage.

BTW, my sticks are CH5 and I run them at 2-2-2-6 24/7 with no problems. Thats only at 220fsb tho.

I have played about with virtually every setting known to man on the NF7-S, and pushed it as far as I can on air, yet I have never had the problem of corruption, usually on the NF7-S, even if you do get a message about corrupted files, you just reboot, back off on the overclock a tad, and all should be fine. :)
