majority will agree that EVGA classified will do you good. for 24/7, it won't make as big of a difference than other boards, but it really shines when benching or subzero

dont really want to pay anymore than £170 180 max can you send us a link to EVGA classified are there other EVGA boards that clock well ?
Classified is only worth it if you're going for extreme benching (chilled water or colder). Otherwise, Foxconn BloodRAGE (if you don't care about losing three RAM slots), Gigabyte EX58-UD5, whatever the DFI one is, or (if you don't mind ASUS) the P6T Deluxe is a decent option as well.

Yes, Gigabyte has great board but minimum is UD4 serie, has better CPU power supply then UD3 ... UD3 is total low-end

Why no mention of evga x58? I think that's a very good board as well.

Check which boards will sleep if you intend to use it, some x58's do not sleep especially when oc'd.

I need a recommedation for under $300 on phase. I was thinking the bloodrage or evga x58 sli. Thanks.
I'm going to be trying the MSI X58M so we will see how that goes. I've always had really good luck with MSI

There's a Fry's there, you can try it out and see if you like it. If not, you can exchange it for different board.

Not as buggy as the bad layout just ticks people off as reviewed by the editors at [H].

Yeah, done that plenty of times over the years I just avoid Fry's now

Like others have said, EVGA CLassified for big money extreme cooling.
My choice for stable day to day air/water cooling board is an Asus P6T. I have my home 920-D0 @ 4.59 GHz on that board, prime stable at 1.39v on air. Never had a hiccup with the P6T at all. Also, runs my dominator gt well above the rated spec 1080 cas7, 1.70v. No hassle, no headache.

Ok, so what board for under $300 on phase as I can't afford the classified? Also, whats the difference between the bloodrage and bloodrage gti beside the gti comes with a sound card, are there any board differences? Thanks.

Guys i have the same problem. I will upgrade my stuff to i7 ( cpu: 920 D0 ) platform and i don't know which mobo is good for me. I think about three mobo's:
1. Asus Rampage II Extreme
2. Asus Gene
3. EVGA X58 SLI LE ( this is new product and we don't nothing about OC etc. )
Any ideas, which choose ?

I think so after what i have read.
I have 2 boards now Dfi H8 and UD4P, and i think they are awesome. Dfi is a monster.
But after what i have read in your thread the looks on the boards are importent and then Rampage, Class og Bloodrage is 3 good mobos:)
correct me if im wrong;)
Soory for my bad english.

Does anyone know?
PCB is the same. The only differences is that the GTI doesn't have SAS ports and doesn't come with the water block or DI/LN2 Extension. Both boards will clock exactly the same.

Thank you Deux. Whats a SAS port (scsi stuff right) and I dont use LN2, so for under $300 is it the board I should get (its $229 at the egg right now)?
