View Full Version : Got a question about this meanwell psu
Well i just bought a meanwell sp-200w 24v for powering my 172w pelt.
But now one thing is bothering me..it says 8.4amps...is this alright and should i have no problems running this 172w tec from it?

you'll be running that 172w 24v 11amp tec in the 17-19v range for max efficancty and at 17-18v your only pulling like 7-8amps max out of your 172w"11a@24v" tec :)
never go by the tec's "VMAX" ampgrage raiding unless your running the tec at that spec ;)
I ran a 172w tec at 17.5v off a 150w meanwell and it never even hickuped :)
hey mickey i thought the higher the the "v" ex. 5a @18v i thought if u raised the "v" the more amps ur putin out ex. 8a @ 24v...am i backwards?

I also have a pot on this psu so i can change volts...goes up to 26.3, what should i do, run the tec at those volts or just leave it at 24v?
well thats the prob...i can adjust volt from 24v to 26.3v and nothing under or higher?
Edit:Saw your pm at futuremark J
