A chiller dose what it sounds like. the colder you get the cpu the higher it clocks. to a point that is. visit the phasechange forum.

well the chiller is some sort of phase change system put into a reservoir such as an igloo...and u put the either copper tubbing in the water (copper tubings get cold) and it then chills the water hence the name "chiller". You then have your water cooling going through this...and then cool your cpu! and yes it works wonders if u get cold enuff temps...you would be surprised how well these work. As a matter of fact i am gettin a chiller sent to me right now. i should be seeing -10c temps on my cpu...hopefully full load im also running a 226 tec

so its like a water cooling tath the radiator is replace by a refregirator or something like that????????
Yes basically. a chiller no matter what you use to chill the liquid (i find window ac's to be the best) you place the evaporator into the reservior. when the temp gets down to freezing you can no longer use water, alcohol antfreeze anything that wont freeze
will work. i like using denatured alcohol & propylene glycol. this one got down to -25c using a small apartment refrig/freezer with a 1/12th hp compressor. it was good enough to get my 1700+ (DLT3C) to just under 2.8ghz. but recovery was slow. the one in my 1st reply uses a 6000btu window ac it goes to -43c & recovery is much faster.

Easy to do, and cheap if you have or can find and old humidifier or AC unit. Get's a little noisy, but bang for the buck you cant beat it.
You might want to browse through this forum for some more pics and answers.
