I have my CPU temps under control but I am worried about the VREG temps which are higher than temperatures of my CPU cores.
Is 80C an acceptable temperature for VREG on an EVGA X58 non-classified board? It takes 15 minutes of blend in prime to reach 80C. My cores stay below 75C in realtemp.

Ok, linx can push it to 82C. Can someone with EVGA board give some thoughts here. What's the max 24/7 temp the VREG can take?

I would say for FULL load with linx, prime, or something 85C.. That should give you around 65ºC idle..
Everybody from evga's forum says not to pass 85C on any temperatures...
Although volt regs were made to get hot, I'm not confortable with its temperature either.. I think evga shouldn't have invested only in a crappy passive heat sink...
I'll problably go on water in a couple of weeks, only cpu and mosfets.. will see how can that help.
You could consider attaching a 40-60mm fan to it, but it didn't help here.
