Spotted another EE on the ORB [Archive]

How can you tell its an EE? Looks like it could just as easily be a normal 3.2 @ 250x16. Though im not a Pro user so I can't view full system details.

look at the cpu score then look at a normal 3.2@ 4Ghz

hmm, i was wondering were he was hiding. well, good to see him back in action.

i think he's score is low because he is using 3dmark03 build 340 and FX5950 thats why. i heard the patch causes 15%-30% points loss in 3dmark03.

Dude what the hell do i have to gain about lying if this is an ee or not.? Besides if i had one you would be in 2nd place not 1st. think about that:) ASUS score cpu better then abit thats all. Btw this is air cooled at stock volts:) no mods on board or card. You will no when i get an ee trust me! P.s hell i dont even no where you can get one do you?

I don't know much about about the cpu score in 3dmark03 and do not know how much they vary, but you can maybe get an idea from GT1 in the game which is the only 3dmark03 game which really benefits from cpu power

Compare Fugger, larskrag@image.dk and DJ all using XT 9800's

Fugger 4009Mhz P4 EE and 525/435 XT => 299.8
larskrag@image.dk 4057Mhz P4 and 499/418 XT => 275.3
DJ 4009MHz P4 ?? and 516/415 XT => 275.7

I think this indicates that DJ's chip is a normal P4.

Interesting things to note

1) He got 516 core on stock cooling .. that sounds good ( though I am not an expert on Ati XT 9800 chips )

2) He originally had a preorder down for an EE at $650 but now he says he does not know where to get one so I guess they cancelled it when the price went up .. which is tough

3) When Will Spicy make an appearance on this thread ?! :D

He is rather unique, in how he benches and how he operates .. he's the black sheep of the overclocking world. Probably wears a Zorro like mask during 3dmark2001 runs.

yeah.. il agree DJ is an anomoly to the OC world. everybody here is way too willing to help and share secrets, but ive never seen him anywhere.. and then the whole mach2 thing..

also a thought, if one can afford a new EE system, why cant one also afford a modded mach2? LOL

to add to the "air" cooling.. couldnt a prommie be considered air cooling? the condenser(is that right name?) uses a fan to "air cool" it doesnt it :D
