Have you tried turning the power off from the back of the PSU, let it sit for thirty seconds and turn it back on? Some boards have problem waking from a sleep just like you and I do, too! Hheehe...

BTW, how do you put 6GB on a dual channel motherboard?

2x 2gb sticks and 2x 1gb sticks......i was originally going to just use 4gb (2x 2gb sticks) but seeing as my old mobo went pop i took out the 1gb sticks from there and put them in the second channels in this one!

thanks, ill give that a go now!

Pop out the CMOS battery for a few mins if you are still having trouble making it POST but you'll need to redo the BIOS settings after this so I hoped you had saved them in one of the CMOS banks. Anyway, my DFI UT X58 also displays CF even if it wakes successfully from S3 sleep.

CF is normal when you resume from sleep. Reset cmos.
