I've been having an awkward problem. I'll be running an overclock on my RIIE for about a month.
After about a month the system will begin to slow down and lock up.
The overclock is completely stable, nothing is wrong with it. But after a certain period of time the system just begins to deteriorate.
So, I reset BIOS and restart the machine. The system then decides not to boot and gives me one of many HDD errors.
" this is missing. " "That is missing"
I open my PC and press the sata cables into my velociraptors.
I turn the PC back on and it boots like nothing is wrong and runs the OC for another period of time.
Why does it go back to normal when the SATA cables are pressed into the HDDs?
My only guess is the sata cables are sliding out over a period of time. I removed the metal clamping pieces on them so they would slide in and out of the MB and HDDs better. But I can't see that being an issue?
