Okay, Just bought an i7 Proc (C0) and need a new MB to accompany her.

I've been looking on Newegg since forever and never really found a great MB w/ great Overclocking abilities and low failure rates with an awesome appearance.

The only board I thought looked awesome was the Foxconn BloodRage with the dedicated Soundcard... omg looks amazing. Only drawback is that I haven't heard much about it... and 3 DIMM slots. Only thing is, I probably will never use more than 6GB of RAM.

Also, it HAS to be either blue, or RED. Only because Blue LED's look great on RED parts for some reason. Price limit is a about $300... need the rest for the RAM.

Also been interested in the new EVGA X58 LE... but the NB is passive... not for me and during OC'ing that will probably Heat up like craaaazy!

Help me out peeps, I'm extremely excited for this!

The x58-ud5 will do the trick and is blue!!!! we have a great overclocking thread here at XS for this board. I would reccomend the DFI but have not played with it yet. I had the EVGA classified ($400.00 usd) for a couple of days but was DOA so could not play with it.

Thanks for the tips!
I ended up getting the EVGA X58 SLI "LE".

Looks nice with the black board and heatsinks... and it's new. I kinda wanted something new and was scared of all the bad things I read about the UD5 on newegg about the Ethernet just dropping. I wanted to get the UD4P, but couple dollers more for the POST error code LCD screen thingy.

The EVGA board was right down my price range... I just hope it's not DOA or crappy... which I'm scared to death about...

ud4p is a great board. i've been out of the game for three years and got my i7 d0 stable at 3.780 @ stock volts. very easy board to o/c in my opinion. board is not giving any problems at all.

I took a look at that board myself just for sh1ts and giggles, but the 12v cpu plug is possibly in the worst spot ever.

Good luck witht he board though, other than that it should be decent.

If everything isn't DOA I'll post scores by Thu or Fri... I'll have (hopefully) all the parts for a swap-out on Wed.
