View Full Version : AMD Phenom II X2 550 LN2 test - 6,2GHz and 42k 3DMark05!

Few day ago, I had tested the new CPU AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition with LN2. I hoped it can be overclock over 6GHz.

I used this system:


CPU AMD Phenom II X2 550
Mainboard Gigabyte 790FXT-UD5P
VGA 2x HD4890 Crossfire clocked 1000MHz/1150Mhz
Ram Crucial DDR3 1600MHz cas 7
HDD Raptor 150GB
Benchtable
CU-ALU combine pot

And the result: :D

Break 6GHz successfully!

Max clock I can pass PI 1MB

Could you again check the name (X2) of the CPU he used? ;)

Bios F3K has coolbug, so I can't Overclock it higher! :shrug:

I thought that Phenoms II were coldbug free?

@Shadov, this CPU's can easily be unlocked to 4 cores, search it here on XS, there are more then few topics about that ;)

AMD Phenom II have no coolbug, but new bios F3K have coolbug, giga 790FXT-UD5P can't boot when cpu's temp lower 120oC :confused:

So I don't want to overclock X4 B50 any more! :ROTF:
