Yep I was well aware of these facts when I went with the 2.4C and BH5:D

just upgraded the 2.4C to a 2.8C to use with 1:1 .
I am happy with the results and no more 5:4 problems...(for me)
cheers

went from a 2.4 to 3.2 myself, less work running 1:1

Wasnt really a downgrade, From 3780mhz to 4.3ghz, I can run 1:1 now. Instead of running 315fsb @ 3:2 max or 300 5:4 max, now i can run up to 270fsb 1:1

Got this Geil 4200 in our sale forums, I tried it in with my 2.4 and ran it @ 290fsb 1:1 no problems, slack ass timings of course.

either way, my memory bandwidth before and after is still around 6650 in sisoft.

So my memory bandwidth is the same, but i have and extra 500 mhz.

And a lot more stable than cranking over 300fsb.

OK since you have vaporchill..perhaps not such a bad idea. but it would be a severe downgrade for aircoolers.

....Course IMO life starts at 300FSB for Intel.
