hey all,
had this 295 for about 2 weeks now and noticed a few things while gaming(why i bought it).during any game i know nvidia has the 2d-3d power-step mode thing happening to conservere power etc by lowering clocks/voltages when not in gaming etc(3d).well at first ANY game i eneterd the card was going into 3dmode clocks and after 30sec-2minutes it would step down to 2dmode again.called evga, completely clueless and said download rivatuner and force 3dclocks if not im basically screwd.so i did that and now thats fine, weird i have to that tho?what about others who are not montering in gaming clocks, same thing happens to there 295 and they dont know this...sad on nvidias part there.anywayway i kept a log today while gaming on quake4 and gpu-z reported a few diff voltages a mile out of spec?heres some screenies 10 sec after gaming.any thoughts on why my vddc volts go from 2.2amps to 12+?i know im stepping from 2d-3d but wow..is this right or anyone else notice anything else on my voltage recording?and my powersupply is in sig,1250watt SOLID 11.98 12v rail with 2 seprate rails going into card.one 6pin and seprate rail for 8pin.plz let me know.thanks in advance.

while gaming just so u know clocks were as flollows below ----626 core///1350 shaders///1101mem

dont worry its fine.. forget soft/app monitoring: all garbage

well theres 2d and 3d voltages.. 2d being the lower one and 3d the higher one

3d voltage is activated by web browser/2d apps not just 3d games

@ load 3d voltage will fluctuate a bit ~0.03v.. normal
