This sunday morning i benched my new Xeon W3540 under my 2 stages cascade, temp during benchamark was between -94 and -100° ^^ summer is coming :D

Random chip buy to the shop of my friend www.compumsa.eu !

Rig Used :p:

CPU : Xeon W3540
Mobo : EVGA Classified 759
RAM : 3 X 2GO G.Skill Perfect Storm DRR3 PC16000 CL9
VGA : 2 X 4870X2
PSU: Silverstone ZM1200M (1200W)
Cooling CPU : 2 Stages Cascade @ -100°
Dimastech bench table Easy V2

Hi,

Yes i tried on air, 2k6 arround 4550Mhz and 1M near 5Ghz but this CPU is very HOT :D

splmann, he is using a ATI gpu and you are using a Nvidia gpu :). Huge difference in cpu score

you are on a different OS from what i can see too!
GFX card clocks ALSO affect CPU test speeds
