View Full Version : 'Petite Bertha' cascade brings it up to 250.4x21 Spi32M @-110C

With another Cascade... :D Cold helped for stability but didn't give BCLK improvement. I've to find a way for clocking above 250BCLK now. :shakes:
Latest beta BIOS helps with cold-boot, which has decreased from -40C to about -55C now. This makes reboots a bit less boring.
Furthermore, altought the CPU was cold-bugged at -105C with original BIOS, it now runs less than -110C without problem. Very tempting for the 3-stager...
No need to turn HT off. Amazing motherboard! :p:

5250MHz SuperPi 32M on Petite Bertha, nice one Xavier
But what about that Coldboot @ only -55*C ? :shakes: Must be hard for you to heat it up with the 3-Stager Petite Bertha, do you close two stages and wait for the CPU to heat up ? :(

Thanks mate :) Didn't try under the 'Grosse Bertha' yet, only under the 'Petite' lol... which is a huge 2-stager. Acutally, when the Classified automatically reset, I've to turn off second stage and wait for the CPU to heat up.

excellent results, you have an army of cascades :)
your 3 stage is what -125°? Can the cpu go this cold?
Congrats...respect:D
..and Grosse Bertha ROCKS..

With 1500ps CPU Skew, it did the trick for suicide.

I'm not sure :) cold-bug looks like tRC related; with about 55, the chip cold-bugs at about -105C, but with 60 it can go down to about -110C. Btw I've got no BCLK improvement from -84C to -110C; only a bit better stability to run Spi 32M at 249 and 250.
Congrats...respect:D

Thanks mate... that's only the 'little' one not the 'big' Bertha :p:

Before, did you just leave it there for a while let it recuperate it self? I know it will go like F3, F6, F8 blar blar and wait at something pretty long but eventually go back to b8 and you're good, just don't press reset or power button.

You mean when it crashes, just to let it recovering?

Xavier, my friend, I want 2 of those ;D
Seriously, drop me a line on MSN, please =)
Will you be at Computex?
BCLK of 250 MHz+ sounds more than just good. What is the current WR on max BCLK?

Yes Oliver; I've built them :) and I've a new project for a new one! :D
Unfortunately, nobady invited me... and I don't have enough money... I won't be there :(
