Playing with a superb board, and a pretty okey cpu! Thanks to Shamino for making a almost perfect board, stable as hell! This cpu really must under LN2 soon, need to fill my dewar again I suppose..
W3540 2.93Ghz D0 3845B010 - I like that cpu...

Cascade -86 at the end of cpu test, stable at -91.6C under other tests

Vantage cpu test/scores coming soon.. I must test vantage with Quad SLI, hoping the scores are OK even tho this board has NF200 chips in the way.

That is really really good clocks at those temps man, I think just -11+ will be perfect to get you 5.3+ , which will prolly happen, oh just test out max bclock @ 21x first then

here in Norway we only have 1866 7-8-7 and 2000mhz 8-8-8 :(

outch man thats some seriously big drop in temps when compared it with what you started with. very nice numbers so far, lets how you can get that 5.3ghz :up:

Impressive results... 10k in 06 and 30k in Vantage is not joke :D

Can anyone with ASUS mobo run at low speed with and without the hardware prefecher the Vantage CPU bench and compare those two runs?.... :)

I don't think so. 30~50 mhz performance lose which is impossible for low multi. You know one multi is 230 mhz.
I think it just is memory timming different between EVGA and others mobos. But EVGA can go much higher 100 mhz+ than ASUS. Who care about 50 mhz performance lose.

I agree with Andre but I'm not sure if it's memory timings. There is something slower about eVGA boards in 3D in particular. I think they're close in SuperPi from what I've seen?

HW Prefetcher is on in the EVGA BIOS afaik George, so could be something else.. Seem AMI BIOS preents the option by default is all.

Our w3540 gets nearly 32k cpu-score under cascade with 3x aircooled 4890:

when I do a full run I get higher cpu score than if I just run cpu tests. so 31100-31300 is what I would get at 5164Mhz with a full run.
5224Mhz + full run is not that far behind 32k.. but, arent we all aiming at 5.3Ghz++ on LN2?? :D

edit: I tried to install 181.20, but it just f u c k s up the system. even on stock the second card just disables it self.. anyways, I went over to guru3d.com and downloaded 185.85 WHQL.. funny driver version in gpuz!

I had a 5207 cpu test run, but I got lower score than my best at 5185 (31251).. 5207 gave me 31200 or something. -77 at det end of the 5207Mhz run :D with LN2 at -120C this chip must fly.
