Hello guys.....

I am wondering if there were any mods / modified firmware available for Ipod touch that allows for overclocking it's ARM CPU.

Is it even remotely possible? Im not worried about the battery life of course.

Any info would be greatly appreciated....

Kind regards

ipod- touch = 400 (something) processor which is clocked properly...

the I-phone.. is clocked at 400(something but should run at 667mhz), so no you wont see anything for yours =)

Why would you want to overclock it? Games are designed to run specifically at that speed.

I find that "because I want to" is a good enough response to most things, especially when you find yourself on a forum such as this one.

I'm afraid I can't help you on this one, I'd find an Apple-specific forum and ask there also. It's going to be a very specific solution, if one exists at all, which is doubtful as it's Apple we're talking about.

Yeah because I want to :D

True reason being that unfortunately not all games work at their best, with some new ones having a bit of a trouble. And above all, running SNES emulators needs all the power we can get on iphone/ipod :p:

Any info would be nice.......if not I gues it's time to wait for 3rd gen ipod touch in September :(
