If this is a recurring problem, then install a second instance of F@H, rename all its folders so that it won't clash with the first instance, and let it run. It will take over and run while the other instance sits there waiting to connect. If you go into config and set its priority slightly higher than the first instance, it should hog the cpu and finish its work. The other instance should eventually connect and submit, redownload, and wait for the cpu to become idle again. That'll at least keep you from sitting idle with no work. ;)

Sorry man, it's been too long since I've used the Console version. Got tired of having it open in the task bar. All I use nowadays is the gui version with the screensaver disabled. I've had excellent luck out of the gui. If I remember correctly, the console version has to be configured when it's first installed. After that, it automatically goes straight into operation when opened. I'll see if I can come up a better answer for you.

Normally you wouldn't need to make changes to config after the initial setup. What are you trying to do with config?

Also, from time to time the Stanford servers get overloaded and you will have a problem trying to send completed work units. Often times, you will be able to download a new one and be folding. With version 3.0 and later it will automatically try to re-send COMPLETED work units every 3 hours. (I think it's every 3 hours)

You can also try to force a send by adding the -sendall switch to your shortcut.

Hope this info helps some. If not, let us know and we'll try harder. :D
