Hello, yesterday i change the 720BE for my new 955BE in the same motherboard ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe whit the last Bios 2101, and the temps now as very high, i have a RL in idle are 42º - 46º when the 720º are 25º + o -, ¿ can be a sensor problem ?, or the bios problem ?
Where you can find the beta bios asus ?

Hola, well i'd expect higher temps with an extra core but not that high. Have you checked your bios settings to make sure you're not feeding more volts than necessary?

Yes the voltaje for the 955 is 1.35v in bios for the frecuency default and 1.40 for 3700 and the temps are the same wiht extra voltaje or a little more, the temps for the 720 were set up with 1.47 fot 3600mhz.

Most likely the temps of the X3 were wrong.
My 720 BE constantly idles at 3 degrees lower than my room temperature...

Idle at 1.47v with 720be shouldn't be sub 30C unless you're under chilled water. I'm at 1.47v for 3.6ghz as well and I'm at 31-32C idle with 20C ambient and aftermarket cooler.
the issue is the CPU-NB voltage...its probably up around 1.6V and could be close on killing the CPU. I tested the crosshair 2 formula for 5 mins before i noticed the voltages are all screwed...the Asus NV boards all need bios work for the new phenoms

Ouch! Can that be manually corrected?
NOPE...thats the issue.
they have tied VDD-NB to CPU VDD, issue is the tables are out so i had 1.3V CPU and 1.58V NB...CPU was in and out that board in 7 mins ;)

The Old M2n32deluxe did it a few times on me too,,but with 9600/9950.. I just told some one about the very same issue. Thier 955 was cooking @ stock volts...I dont know why ASUS dosnt do two seperate voltages.
CPU/NB both @ 1.65v+ it is not healthy on any Mobo.
Same way i made my 9950 do 3950mhz on water :D
make shure you keep that Chip cool. 955 should be able to clock 3.8 with alot less. even 1.48v on both is kinda alot.

thank you all for your help, the problem is solved, was the bomb that had been broken, now with the coolermaster v8 to 3600 and with default voltaje ( 1.34v ).
Tomorrow will continue to rise, THANKS.
