Any clues how to set it up?

Its not my PC, its friend so I don't have direct access to it..

He has DFi 790FXB M2RSH, 4x2GB Mushkin Redlines (1000MHz CL5) and 940 Black Edition Phenom II (AM2+).

He can switch rams via 250FSB to 1000MHz but can't go higher..

I have myself i7, so Im little bit lost in AMD OC..

Thanks for help.

First, he must relax the timings try CAS6 and relax all others too.
Next, there is a CPU:MEM multi - default is 1:2 hence (250*2)*2=1000 try 1:2.66 to get (200*2)*2.66=1066 or up to (250*2)*2.66=1333

Will try, thanks. Tough.. not sure if 1100 CL6 will be better than 1000 CL5. 1333 no way.. not sure what chips are these rams, but except D9GKX/GMH.. DDR2 are usually not able to reach that high. :D

You shouldnt even have to touch the FSB/HTT to reach 1000+

set ratio of 16:6 = 1066 or just pick 1066 for ram speed.

Edit> Also pushing HTT will if bios sets NB at 10x multi , will be pushing NB to 2500mhz
Anyways heres an example 4x800mhz ram @ 1066 @5-5-5-18
