How much would it cost to build the minimual watercooling setup? Xcluding watercooling kits, because those are overpriced. Tubing should be around $10, but I dont know any of the other prices lol
THanks for any help

Minimum?
there will be lots of work here
Make your own blocks from copper stock maybe $20 after you buy enough to practice on.
Via aqua 1300 pump could be had for like $20.
heatercore maybe $20, then tubing $10 and a 120mm fan and homemade shroud maybe 15 for both.

If you are looking to custom build EVERYTHING then of course that will be cheaper. I would take a look at dtekcustoms.com. They have really good watercooling parts. I'm guessing around $200 total.

You can also find some good used parts in the for sale threads on most forums.

Let's see here.
1. Mounting parts, tubing, clamps, plus scrap plexi for shround (assuming you have some basic tools to make it). 20$
2. fans 25$
3. Viaqua 25$
4. Whitewater 50$
5. bleed/fill kit or res 25$
6. Shipping on it all 20$
7. core 20$
Figure 175-225$ for a real nice kit. I'd recommend you spend an extra 10-20$ on a mag 3 and fittings for it. My viaqua (second hand) was a lemon. I once saw a damn good kit... I think it was whitewater (or maybe even cascade) eheim 1250, clearflex, dtek core, shroud and fan, clamps, and some waterwetter that went for 150 or 175$ shipped. If you take second hand you can save some money buying second hand second rate blocks (Figure 60$ after shipping on WW, 25-30$ shipped on a second hand maze 3 or equivalent.) You probably wont save much on cores (hard to beat 20$ out the door at pep boys since they cost a bit to ship) or pumps (50$ for an eheim second hand is a good deal but 35$ for a mag 3 which outperforms it is even better) Tubing and clamps and such are so small its not even worth looking for em second hand. Also fans are rarely going to be had much cheaper than you'll get them from liquidation sites.
