Hey

I got a big vdrop problem with my gigabyte motherboard.

In the bios it's set to 1,5 vol for a 4,5 ghz overclock on my cpu and in cpu-z i can see that it reads 1,456 volt and the same in easytuner 6.

But when i run a prime95 test the vcore drops down to 1,408 and immediately prime95 reports a error on two of the cores.

I realy dont get it so i was hoping that some one in here could help me:)

On my UD3P i get a .06 vcore drop. So I think it's common with gigabyte boards.

enable load line calibration if your board support it.

LLC won't counter vdrop, just vdroop. Personally, vdrop isn't so bad because you can adjust for it by increasing the value in the bios. The EX58-Extreme does it, but it vdroops very little so it's a good trade off imo.

But the idle vcore is fine but the real problem is the load vcore.

i dont think gigabyte has a load line calibration system on there motherboards?

There no LLC on that board. Use the mod below. For quad set the poti between 1k - 1.3k ohm and enjoy.
