Asus, please unlock Xeon cpus on LGA1366 motherboards

This is a kind of petition.

I am sure (I tested by myself) that Rampage II Extreme is not able to unlock:

- DRAM multipliers other than 1:3 and 1:4
- QPI transfer rate
- Uncore frequency

From other messages also P6T family has same locks.

A Gigabyte user assures HERE (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3748074&postcount=320) that in his motherboard above settings are all unlocked.


I hope that every overclocker that has a Xeon cpu will push Asus in any way to work on unlocking Xeon cpus on its motherboards.

Come on Asus, you can not be beaten by Gigabyte!

Your last sentence is by sure what you would read if you will submit my petition to Asus regular support channels.

I have an "hook" at Asus Italy and I hope he can help us.


I ask Asustek to unlock also the MEM_CFG_LOCKED bit at least on RoG motherboards.
