Im thinkin this for my next build...but will it be to cramped?

Antec Mini P180
Asus GENE uatx
2x 4890
Silverstone DA750
i7 w/ Noctua HS
1 ssd and 1 reg hd and 1 optical

will that be too snug of a fit?

i really want to go matx (or uatx according to the gene) due to size. i want something smaller. im sick of huge cases.

I'd make sure your heat-sink makes clearance by searching for measurements and that the case has good intake and outtake, or you'll be gaming with a puddle of molten metal at your feet in no time. An i7 and two HD4890's in an mATX case... you'll probably be one of the few. :p:

If you truly want a SFF case with maximum cooling that can do SLI/Crossfire, Ultra Micro Fly is the only case that fits the bill...........it's too bad they discontinued it, but they still make the Apevia QPackII, which is essentially the same case but instead of 3 seperate panels, it has a one-piece shell.

My worklog: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1407916

Oh yeah, don't you guys go throwing the NZXT Rogue (Antec Mini P180 also fits this category) in here or other cases that have no business being called SFF other than the fact that they took a humongous case and neutered it by only supplying mATX backplane and standoffs. Not saying they're not nice cases, just that they have no business benig called SFF.

I'm sorry but I happen to believe that both the Ultra Micro-Fly mATX case and Apevia QPackII are two of the ugliest cheap looking cases out there. I would go with Lian Li PC-V351 or SilverStone SST-SG01 or any of the Silverstones SFF. Lets not forget the Thermaltake LAN Box these I feel are much more pleasing to the eye.

Unless you're running stock, you're not going to have good luck cooling an i7 in any of those cases unless you go H2O. Power supply being located right over the CPU socket doesn't leave you a whole lot of options on cooling.

Actully I have a Themalright ultima 90 in the Lian Li PC-V351 it actully touches the bottom of the psu and it has two front 120mm you have to replace them with better fans but all in all my q9550 at 3.4ghz runs 50c's . I can't actually say much about those other cases being able to fit a cooler since I have never used them. Now I just remmebered my dad used one of those ultra's and fried a p4 system with a 8600gt it was a stock cooler but still!

Looks like im running into some walls here now haha.

Recommend me some other small cases, doesnt HAVE to be SFF i suppose, but i still wouldnt mind going matx with the mobo.

What about the Lian a05b?
