Our lab managed to get an engineering sample of a not yet announced Core i7-975 XE processor that is based on the new D0 processor stepping. Today we are going to check out the features of this new processor core and figure out its advantages over the previous Nehalem C0 processor stepping.

Totally crap, must be a one off or the person doing the test doesnt have a clue what he's doing.
My i7 920 "D0" does 4ghz on 1.248v load.

Or maybe the D0 stepping processors won't hold much of an overclocking advantage over the C0 stepping...
There are wonderfully-clocking C-0 processors just like there will be with the D-0. Assuming that the D0s will be the Next Coming is the wrong thing to do IMO.

Yeah, the next coming would still be the E-0 stepping :p:, it will increase IPC by 10%.

Are you joking or am I missing something :)?

I'd rather have an E0 Q9650

Its funny that people still think that D0 will do something to help overclocking.
Only the batch counts.. there's good and bad ones with both steppings. D0 does NOTHING to help overclocking in and of itself.
